Richmond, VA (April 1, 2026)–Virginia Cardiovascular Specialists (VCS), Central Virginia’s largest independent cardiovascular practice, proudly announces that cardiovascular interventionalists, Dr. William J. Coble and Dr. Daniel A. Scheider, have been recognized as 2026 Top Doctors by Richmond magazine.
The Top Doctors designation is determined through a peer-nomination process in which physicians across the region vote for the colleagues they consider most outstanding in their fields. Being named a Top Doctor reflects the trust and respect of fellow medical professionals — one of the most meaningful endorsements a physician can receive.
Dr. Coble is a board-certified cardiologist with a special interest in cardiac imaging, including CT. He completed his cardiology fellowship at VCU School of Medicine and holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology. He specializes in Cardiac Computed Tomography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Sports Cardiology. In January 2026, Coble was also recognized as a 2026 Super Star Doctor by Richmond magazine and Virginia Business Magazine’s “Top Doctors in Virginia.”
Dr. Schneider is a board-certified electrophysiologist who completed his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology training at George Washington University. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation; ablation therapy for tachyarrhythmias; biventricular pacing; pacemakers and ICDs; and the Watchman procedure. In January 2026, Schneider was recognized as Virginia Business Magazine’s “Top Doctors in Virginia.”
